This time the kids at kluster are delving into the world of art. Issue ii features a plethora of street art and graffiti, fine art and photographic journalism, art houses and gallery spaces.
The supremely talented Miromi fills one of the pages with her at-times abstract art and a humorous anarchical comic. Kim Greenaway provides a video piece that combines a little of the Romance Was Born Spring/Summer 07/08 collection with a slamming audio mix courtesy of Jamie Doom, in the signature style that has earned her an allegiance of loyal fans both locally and internationally. Sydney artist Will Pritchett answers a few of our artistically minded questions and allows us a look into his unique, artistic world.
Meanwhile the kids at kluster stepped out and about and into the Sydney art and design world. There is a Semi-Permanent retrospective that highlights some of the inspiring speakers at this year's conference, as well as a look at the world of photojournalism and the World Press Photo exhibition. We also picked the brains of one of Australia's most respected graff artists - and the only Aussie ever admitted to one of NYC's oldest, still active crews, The Fantastic Partners - Minky aka Atome in The Civilized Vandal.
On the gallery-and-creative-space front we spoke to the curators at three of Sydney's most diverse and important independent spaces: China Heights , Rinse and Blanco Negro. And as always we penned some words about the amazing sounds recently released by some of our favorite artists on the album review page.
Phew, ok, that's the lot. Now stop reading about it and come experience it for yourself. Same place, whole new look.
